Summer provides some great space clearing opportunities. The windows can be open to allow that summer moisture and sweet, flowery scents to fill the house. Summer energy is warm and vibrant. You can invite that energy into your home for a relaxing and light summer atmosphere.
Often times with summer, come house guests. You clean and prepare a room and bed for them but did you ever consider space clearing your guest room to enhance their stay even more? Here is a quick and easy space clearing you can perform in your guest room. Begin by giving the room a good cleaning including washing the linens and curtains. Then clear out any stagnant energy in the room. You can do this by walking around with a bell, rattle, drum, whatever you feel may resonate with that particular room. This will help break up any old or negative energy. State your intention for the room. You can say something like, "I wish my guest a happy, restful, comfortable stay". Burn sandelwood or bergamot incense to create a relaxing yet uplifting environment as you state your intention. Then make a mixture of lavendar essential oil and water in a spray bottle. Spritz the room to give it a relaxing, summery scent as a final touch. Your guests will enjoy a crisp welcoming energy when they arrive. If your sending your kids away to camp for the summer or even for just a week, take that opportunity to give their room a good cleaning and space clearing as well. Perform the same steps above. In place of of sandelwood insence, burn juniper or thyme as you state your intention. These are a bit more invigorating and really help to clear out old stagnant energy. Diffuse or spray lemon, lime, or orange to keep the energy alive in the room. I also like to place a vase of fresh daisies in the kids' rooms to give them a light , playful feel. Don't forget to open the windows on those cooler, dry summer days, especially after a thunderstorm. Thunderstorms clear the energy in the atmosphere naturally. They create a negative ion environment which makes you feel exhilerated yet relaxed. Summer is a bright, happy season. Welcome summer's warm, joyful energy into your home as you enhance the cheery environment for your family and guests.
